The Basilica of Our Lady of El Pilar is, without a doubt, Zaragoza’s sign of identity. Located on the banks of the Ebro River, it presides over the Pilar Plaza, one of Europe’s largest pedestrian squares, and serves an entry point to the tiny winding streets and plazas that make up the old city centre. Traces of one of Aragon’s most universal artists, Francisco de Goya, can be seen throughout the capital streets and, in particular, in the Goya Museum.
