Over 150 years ago, in 1867, a metalworker from Huesca became the very first to create a bicycle on Spanish territory. Mariano Catalán was responsible for creating what was known as the Velocífero, which weighed over 37 kilos. Our current concern with grams and watts was unheard of at the time. In 2024, Huesca will continue to make cycling history by hosting a La Vuelta Femenina by Carrefour.es stage departure for the very first time.
