Santiago de Compostela will live a cycling celebration on the 5th of September. Even though it will be the third time the municipality crowns the winner of La Vuelta, it will be its first time hosting the women’s equivalent. The capital of Galicia, also the culmination of the millennial Way of St. James, is a unique cultural enclave in Europe. Its historical relevance and monumental treasures have led to Santiago de Compostela being declared a World Heritage City by UNESCO.
