Rapitán Fort made its debut in La Vuelta 12 and witnessed Joaquím Rodríguez raising his arms and wearing red, in one of those memorable finales. Today, 12 years later, this tough climb to the 19th century fortress will test the fierce determination of its best climbers, with 3.4 uphill kilometres, an average inclination of 7.9% and ramps of over 10%.
